Here’s what I have learned and want to share with you

If we are aware of the role our emotions play, we can work with them rather than fighting them or hiding from them.

​When you are able to work with them then you are less likely to get stuck in an emotion, you feel so much calmer and connected to yourself and others, and you stop getting drawn back into mum’s drama.

​That in avoiding and pushing down our emotions that we often don’t recognise what we are feeling, what our needs are, or who we are without mum.​

This means we often act as if her emotions and problems are our own.

​That being stuck in this situation means we are traumatised and hurt over and over again.

But I understand that many of you will struggle to accept it, to realise that your recovery isn’t dependent on your mum. I know this course isn’t for everyone.
