One…

I came across this image on Facebook today, it really hit home how the small things can make all the difference.

The most poignant line for me was ‘One candle can wipe out darkness’; illumination can take away the fear and terror of being alone in the dark, of being unable to understand or voice the pain, hurt and sadness inside. Lighting the darkness is often a metaphor for finding meaning or understanding from the confusion and chaos, that our minds and emotions can be fraught with. A light at the end of the tunnel, a direction in which to journey.

Sometime we are the ‘One’ to make the difference, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem to others; it may mean the world to us and the person we have lifted. Other times we are the ones who need a helping hand, some support to make it through the day, some hope to keep us going, some love and kindness to make it all worthwhile.

So however you are feeling, whatever you are doing I hope you find the ‘One’ thing that makes the difference today.

Best wishes

Charlotte
