The Self.

The self isn’t a static thing that is passed to us; it is not only a creation of the things that have happened to us in our lives or the hurts we have suffered, but so much more…

The self is also created in our reaction to the things we experience good or bad and we actively create and re-create the self with the decisions we make, the people and situations we invest our time and energy in, with the ideals and hopes we strive for and the failures we experience.

It is the journey rather than the destination, of our sense of who we are and what we would like to be. In every journey we we stumble and lose our way, but there is hope that we can live a life that feels authentic, where we can express our ‘self’.

So the question is: who do you choose to be and how will you create and support the person you want to be? Be authentic, be you!

Best wishes

My blog is dedicated to my thoughts, experiences and work in helping women to heal from their mother wounds and assisting women to find healthy support networks. I strongly believe that I have a duty to share my knowledge to empower women like you, to improve your mental health and wellbeing through holding a safe space for you to heal, providing therapy to hear you, so you can understand yourself, and education to give you the tools to empower yourself.
